Last month I gave you all a look at some
movie posters for the upcoming MAX PAYNE. Well today we've got a look at two more posters courtesy of PosterGeek. Go ahead and scope those out above and below.
Much like I dug the last posters, I'm loving these as well. The imagery with these posters is awesome. It fits the feel of the video game perfectly in my opinion. The flick also stars the gorgeous Mila Kunis and has Mark Wahlberg doing what he does best... playing an absolute badass. I can't wait to see Wahlberg kicking ass again with Kunis in the mix somewhere.
So needless to say it's not looking like MAX PAYNE will have many flaws. Time will tell though
vintage posters. The flick is slated for an October 17 release with John Moore directing.
A rare 67-year old railway poster advertising Berwick as a tourist attraction is expected to fetch up to ¡ê600 at an auction next month.
The poster was produced by artist Van Jones for the London and North Eastern Railway in 1941, to boost rail travel during some of the darkest days of the Second World War.
The 40x25 inches poster - emblazoned with the words: Berwick-upon-Tweed, It'ADVERTISEMENTs
quicker by rail - will be auctioned at Christie's South Kensington in London on September 10.
Christie's has sold just five Berwick railway
art posters since they launched their annual travel posters sales in 1999.
But it is the first time that this particular poster has come up for sale at these auctions, so it is rare.
The most valuable Berwick poster - produced by Ipswich artist Leonard Squirrell (1893-1979) for British Railways sometime after 1947 - sold for ¡ê998 at Christie's in September 2002.
In the early and middle parts of the 20th century - when comparatively few people owned cars and when overseas holidays were beyond the financial reach of many - railway companies commissioned artists to produce colourful, eye-catching posters in a bid to boost rail travel to beauty spots, seaside resorts and places of historical interest throughout Britain.
These now sought-after posters - nostalgic mementoes of a vanished age - originally adorned railway station platforms and waiting rooms.
Usually, they feature blue skies, clear, unpolluted azure rivers and seas and smartly-dressed tourists.
The Berwick poster is among 283 vintage travel posters expected to sell for more than a quarter of a million pounds at the Christie's auction next month.
